We are thrilled that you have signed up for a Syft Interview session. Before you attend, we have listed below a few easy steps for you to complete to make sure you are 100% ready!

You have applied for Retail Roles with Sainsbury’s. For us to verify you during the online session, and enable you to book shifts with them straight away, we kindly ask you to be prepared.

Here’s what to expect and how to prepare:

Download the App

1. We are an app-based temporary staffing platform, so you will need to use Syft App on your smartphone to be able to see shifts, book on, as well as clock in and out. Please Download Syft App and set up your profile. To save time during the interview, ensure you have added the following:

  • Select the roles you wish to apply for and enter your previous experience.
  • Upload a clear and professional photo of your head and shoulders, and enter your home address so we can best match you with shifts in your location.
  • Complete the Online Learning modules.
  • We have also prepared some Syft App TUTORIALS for you.

 

Attend your Interview Session

2. You will need to attend your Online Session using the Zoom link we have sent you on your confirmation email. If you don’t have Zoom yet, you can quickly download it here. You will also receive a text before your session with this information. Please ensure you read all instructions on the welcome email.

Once you join the Syft Zoom session, you’ll hear about who we are and the many benefits of working shifts via the Syft App. You’ll then be assigned a recruitment manager who will discuss your experience with you on a 121 interview.

Your Right to Work in the UK


3. Because of COVID-19, we are unable to invite you to one of our offices and check your right to work in person, so according to Government’s guidelines, during the interview you will be asked to email us your right-to-work documents to us. Please ensure these are all ready. As an example, you will be asked to present: passport, national ID card or biometric residence permit. Please have your drivers license ready if applying for driver roles.

If you pass all the requirements, you will be verified during the interview and be able to book shifts immediately!

Please read on the following steps to take for the role you have selected:

Home Delivery Drivers:

  • You need to have experience of driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle within the last three years or hold a currently active Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualification. Please add this experience to your Syft App profile.
  • Hold a valid MANUAL driving license for a vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes for at least 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Obtain a Driving Licence Check Code using GOV.UK website and have it ready for your interview
  • You will be required to complete a DBS Basic check before you can drive a Sainsbury’s delivery van. If you do have a DBS Basic certificate already, please send it to recruitment@syftapp.com
  • Once you are verified and booked on a shift, a paid 4-hour induction session will be provided by Sainsbury’s
